⌖Scope Savvy

BDC Scope Reticle Calculator

Choose your hunting scope and load. Its documented reticle marks fill in for you, then calculate a personalized range reference.

⚠
Range-test before field use

The manufacturer’s chart is the correct starting reference for the exact scope and the load, zero and magnification it specifies. Your rifle’s barrel, actual muzzle velocity, ammunition lot, sight height and conditions can shift impact from that reference. Confirm your zero and each hold with your rifle and exact ammunition at a safe range before relying on it while hunting. Do not use an unconfirmed hold in the field.

YOUR AMMUNITION

Enter your actual bullet details first. A scope selection loads its reticle data and reference notes; it does not lock you to the factory example load.

Choose the model matching the bullet maker’s BC. G1 and G7 values are different scales.

Choose your cartridge, then enter the exact bullet’s weight, muzzle velocity and BC. Those values vary among loads for the same cartridge; the cartridge choice alone does not fill in bullet data. A selected scope’s factory example is shown separately as a reference and never replaces your ammunition.

Enter the exact model and load details, then add the manual reticle/subtension pages and a photo of your reticle. These uploads are local previews only; to have the chart read and entered as a source-backed preset, attach the original photos in this chat. The reticle placement canvas is in the panel above. Uploads are local previews only; the canvas is manual placement, not automatic chart reading.

Photograph the manual page that shows the reference load and the reticle’s hold table.

PHOTO IMPORT & PRESET NOTES

Manual source record

Each scope preset should remain tied to its exact model, reticle, manual source, calibration load and reference power. If a chart image reveals a correction, record that with the preset before treating it as verified.
